Dimitris G. Lagos is Professor Emeritus of Tourism Economics and Tourism Business Administration at the Department of Business Administration of the University of the Aegean. He served as a Director of the Interdepartmental Master's Program "Tourism Planning, Policy and Management" (2009-2018). He is a Collaborating Teaching Staff (SEP) and coordinator of a thematic module at the Hellenic Open University. He is a member of the Administration of DOATAP. He was President of the Department of Business Administration of the University of the Aegean (01.11.2015-30.11.2017), former Dean of the School of Business of the University of the Aegean (2010-2014) and a member of the Administration of the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). He is the author of four scientific books (three related to tourism and one to regional development theories). He has authored a significant number of publications in books, scientific journals and conference proceedings on tourism.
