GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme is the basic education and systematic training of students on various issues related to tourism and in particular the strategy of tourism development and the management of hospitality units. Through the study and interdisciplinary analysis of the theoretical and empirical approaches of various disciplines such as Economics, Sociology, Social Anthropology, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Regional Development, Information Technology and Marketing, students acquire the necessary theoretical background in order to understand the complexity and complexity of the tourism phenomenon, expanding their knowledge, sharpening their critical skills and forming a multi-scientific view of tourism issues.

Learning outcomes of the DPMS:

Direction Hospitality Management.

The learning outcomes of the direction aim to the:

  • Acquisition by the students of the necessary knowledge - skills for the organization and management of hospitality Enterprises
  • Acquaintance of students with the current trends regarding the promotion and promotion techniques of the hotel product
  • Acquisition of the necessary knowledge - skills for the economic and financial management of hospitality Enterprises
  • Familiarity with the importance of strategic management of hospitality Enterprises and the value of effective human resource management

The learning outcomes of the course aim to the:

  • Recognition of the anthropocentric dimension of tourism development and its social impacts.
  • Examination of policies to ensure the harmonious relationship between tourism and the environment.
  • Environmental management in tourist areas and tourist units.
  • Assessment and evaluation of the impacts of tourism development at supranational, national, regional and local levels based on the principles of sustainable development.
  • Familiarization of students with the strategies and policies followed by tourism agencies and organizations at supranational, national, regional and local level.
